A Few Words From The Organiser

Well what a splendid turn out and such favorable conditions too. There were even more PBs than last year – at least 33 – possibly more, but some times were omitted from the entry forms.

A lot of work goes into organising events and without the good will of timekeepers and marshals they would not be possible, so I would like to take this opportunity to thank Julia and Tudor for time-keeping, Gwyn for recording, Tim for pushing off and the committee members who helped marshal the course and check the results. A special thanks to Suzanne, Anne and Barbara for serving the refreshments.

With all the current debate on the lack of young riders I was disappointed that the event was not as competitive amongst the juniors as last year. However, 3 of the awards went to young riders – Luke, Nia and Chris. The prize money for these riders was donated by Garth Bakery, who are keen to encourage the development of young riders. Prize money was also donated by MAF Scaffolding; I would like to thank both companies for their continued support of this open event.
