I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the riders that competed in the first Magic Dragon of the year. It’s a shame that the course was cut short, but at least it meant less time racing in the ‘orrible conditions.

I would also like to extend my thanks to:

• The time keepers Robin Field and John & Glenda Fisher
• Terry Harridine for marshalling on the dual carriageway and Paul Durrant for standing in to marshal at the stop sign after his ride.
• John Deeley for pushing off and riding – He’s as mad as ever !
• The Deeley boys for their stunning efforts in the kitchen and at the results board.
