In the interest of your own safety, Cycling Time Trials and the event promoters strongly advise you to wear a HARD SHELL HELMET that meets an internationally accepted safety standard.

It is a regulation, of the C.T.T. that all riders under the age of 18 or juniors as defined by regulation 9 should wear a hard shell helmet conforming to a recognised safety standard in accordance with the new regulation 15.

 

Course R25 /3H

OS References: Sheet 159/160 - Start 915069 Finish 886064 Start on unclassified road between Hirwaun Industrial Estate and Cefn Rhigos village at Bus Stop sign in lay-by opposite side road (Heol-y-Graig) signed "Rhigos 1/4". Proceed eastwards to rbt with A4061 where take 2nd exit (straight on) and to rbt with A465 where take 1st exit. Proceed westwards along A465 to Blaengwrach rbt where take 2nd exit (straight on) to Resolven rbt (10.523 miles) where take 2nd exit (straight on) to continue on A465 to first junction to left signed A4109. Bear to left, around the loop to Tonna rbt (15.431). Take 1st exit to next rbt where circle rbt WITH CARE to take 3rd exit to rejoin A465 eastwards. Retrace to Resolven rbt (20.075) where take 2nd exit on A465 to Blaengwrach rbt. Continue on A465 over river Neath bridges and past Glynneath interchange with A4109, to first lay-by where FINISH 53 yards beyond 1st "Take Litter Home" sign. 25.014miles.

Please allow at least 25 minutes to ride to the start (uphll)

After completing the course riders are requested to continue up the hill and return to the H.Q riding past the start on the old road.

Any rider that crosses the centre reservation will be disqualified and will be reported to the District Council

 

There is a  strong  possibility  that due to road works the reserve course will have to be used .Do not hesitate to contact  me.

 

Course R25/3E   previously known as  R25/24      (Reserve Course)

Start on unclassified road just off Resolven roundabout, access to TSW works, 16 yards north of R10/22 start point.  Proceed to Resolven roundabout, (0.102 miles) taking 1st exit left southbound on A465 dual carriageway to Aberdulais interchange (4.427 miles).  Bear left up around the loop to Tonna roundabout (4.909 miles).  Take 1st exit let to main interchange roundabout (4.967 miles),  circle roundabout to take 4th exit left down slip road to rejoin A465 northbound (5.363 miles).  Proceed northwards to Resolven roundabout (9.562 miles), continue on A465 dual carriageway to Blaengwrach roundabout (12.599 miles).  Take 1st left along cross-valley link to junction with B4242 (12.818 miles).  Bear left along B4242 southbound via Pentreclwdau to Resolven junction. Continue south on B4242 via Ynysarwared, Rock & Fountain to Turn at break in dual carriageway at Ynysgerwen (opposite factories entrance )  (19.568 miles).  Retrace to Resolven junction (23.050 miles).  Continue on B4242 passing Rheola pond to FINISH at 25 yards beyond Ffermdy Pentreclwydau in disused access (opposite start of R10/23) (25.14 miles). Please note the 2nd turn is on a short length of dual carriageway please take extreme care.
