Start
At
mark on kerb at end of pavement opposite and 15 metres north of "Ffermdy
Pentreclwydda" in Pentreclwydda village (2 miles south of Glynneath on
B4242, old Vale of Neath Road). Proceed westwards on B4242 to Resolven junction
with cross valley road (1.962 miles). Continue westwards to Abergarwed village.
Continue westwards, Ynysarwed village sign 2,683 miles). Proceed westwards to
foot of Rock and Fountain hill and continue to climb to top of hill (4.706
miles). Continue to TURN in break in dual carriageway opposite factories
at Ynysgerwen (5.141 miles). Descend hill and retrace route eastwards through
Ynysarwed village and Abergarwed (village sign 7.961 miles). Continue eastwards
through Resolven junction (8.933 miles). Continue eastward to finish at 1st
drain cover on left at entrance to Coal Factors at Rheola (market entrance)
(almost opposite bus stop)(10 miles).

General Notes
Helmets
All competitors
under the age of 18 years must wear a properly affixed helmet which must be of
hard/soft shell construction. Helmets should conform to a recognized Standard
such as SNELL B95, ANSI Z90.4, AUS/NZS 2063:96, DIN 33-954, CPSC or EN 1078. It
is the responsibility of the rider (or parent or guardian if the rider is
under 18 years of age) to:
A. Select a Helmet
that offers protection against head injury and does not restrict the rider’s
vision or hearing.
B. Ensure that the
helmet is properly fitted, is undamaged and in good condition.
Safety
When riding to the start, and returning to the HQ, after you
have finished. You will be traveling along part of the course. Therefore please
be aware of, and respect fellow competitors who are already active in the time
trial. Please take particular care when crossing B4242 from the Resolven
roundabout as competitors, will be approaching from the right and left.
Please
take care at the turn, be particularly aware of traffic approaching from your
rear when negotiating the turn.
LOOK WHERE YOU ARE GOING, YOU
ARE TOO YOUNG TO BE PUSHING UP DAISEYS.
General
Will
spectators please refrain from parking their vehicles around the start and
Finish area and on the course, there is ample parking in a designated
Area, Approximately
half a mile east of the Start.
Do not
allow your friends and relations to follow you around the course - it's not
allowed
Please
ensure you have signed on before the start. Numbers and Signing on sheets are located
in the event headquarters
If you
do not sign on you will not get a time or a prize.
It is
approximately 2.3 Miles from the headquarters to the start line; please ensure
you allow ample time.
Please
do not park in front of the headquarters, use the TRW car park.
Gear
Restrictions
Gear
restrictions will not apply in this Championship. However, in the event of any
BSCA Record being achieved, the rider concerned will not be eligible to Claim
the relevant record.

On
return of numbers, riders will receive a Coke and Mars bar.
A
prize presentation will take place after the event, where competitors will
receive medals and certificates, plus a random gift kindly donated by the Event
sponsors, Rocky mountain Cycles

being held on Sunday 14th September in Hertford,
